Wednesday, Nov. 1, 8, 22 & 29 Emmanuel Prayer Group will have a charismatic prayer meeting from 7:30-9:00pm in Memorial Hall/Church Basement. Thursday, Nov. 2,9,16,30 Choir Rehearsal - Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in both the School's Music Room and the Church. The Choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. Mass during the season of Advent and at Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve.  Back to November Calendar

Saturday, Nov. 4 Divine Mercy Prayer - Come join us with your families, Deacon Bill Wilson, and Our Lady Queen of Peace rosary group immediately following the 8:30 Mass in recitation of the Divine Mercy Prayer. The prayer service with booklets is approximately 30 minutes. This beautiful Icon image is being shared with parishes throughout the State of New Jersey and will be at St. Gregory's on November 4.  Back to November Calendar
Saturday, Nov 4 Employment Network Group Meeting - Topic: "Using the Library as a research tool in your job search". You need to do research for targeting companies and contacts, learning more about the companies you are interested in working for and preparing for the interview. Learn of the many research tools available so you can be an informed candidate. Guest Speaker: Janie Hermann, Librarian, Princeton Public Library, refstaff@princeton.org.  All meetings will be held from 8:30am to 10:30am in St. Paul's School cafeteria. Membership is open to all. Sat-Sun, Nov 4-5 Thanksgiving Pie Sale - The 8th grade class of St. Gregory the Great School is sponsoring a fundraiser of freshly baked pies from Country Gardens for Thanksgiving delivery. There are a variety of delicious pies, which are all $11.00. We will accept prepaid orders after all masses the weekend of November 4th/5th. Forms are available in the school or parish office. Sunday, Nov. 5

Mass of Remembrance -We will celebrate our Annual Mass of Remembrance at 6:00pm. (This fulfills your Sunday Mass obligation). We will remember ALL the deceased buried from St. Gregory the Great Church during the period of Oct. 15, 2005 until October 20, 2006. The Friends of the Shepherd Bereavement Group will be sending invitations to the next of kin for those buried from St. Gregory's Church or those we did a Service at the funeral home. Please DO NOT fill out this form. If you have a loved one who died during the year and WAS buried from a church other than St. Gregory the Great, and want to include their name in the Mass of Remembrance, please complete this printable form, drop it in the collection basket or bring it to the Parish Office in an envelope marked "Bereavement".  Back to November Calendar

Sunday, Nov. 5 Altar Rosary - Our next Communion Sunday will be at the 9:00 Mass and our next meeting will be Monday, Nov. 6th at 7:30 in O'Connor Hall of the Parish Center. We look forward to seeing all our members there as well as any guests who would like to attend to see what Altar Rosary is all about. Tuesday, Nov. 7 & 21 Art Journaling Course - Many people keep a journal. Here's a way without words to access your inner thoughts and feelings, relieve stress and get to the soul of the matter, all the while growing spiritually. You do not need to know how to draw. We will meet bi-weekly for six sessions beginning September 26th from 7:00 - 9pm in the Parish Ctr. The other five dates are: Oct. 10th, Oct. 24th, Nov. 7th, Nov. 21st, and Dec. 5th. Wednesday, Nov. 8 Am I Still Catholic? - "TAKE ANOTHER LOOK" will provide an opportunity for answers whether the concern is having been away from the Catholic Church for many years, having been divorced, having had an abortion, having had an unpleasant or hurtful experience with the church that has not yet healed, being angry with the church because of media headlines, or having just drifted away from the mass and sacraments. Presented by Fr. Rich LaVerghetta, our pastor in the Bachman Lounge in the Parish Center at 7:30pm. You can submit questions that evening (anonymously, if you wish, on cards), or, if you prefer, you can submit them ahead of time on a 3x5 index card. We offer a friendly space where strangers who are walking on the same grief journey can come together to reflect on their pain and suffering without fear and are introduced to The New Day Journal to help them find Hope in their time of grief. Thursday, Nov. 16 Gang Awareness Presentation - at 7pm we will have a special presentation at a meeting in the School Cafeteria. Mercer County Sheriff, Kevin C. Larkin and his "Gang Intelligence Unit" present GANG AWARENESS. This program is an excellent and informative on gangs, internet safety, parental rights controls, associated magazines and TV stars, and statistics. Unfortunately in today's society no child is too young to be exposed to gang awareness and internet safety. Let's be proactive and educate ourselves!!   Back to November Calendar

Sunday, Nov. 19 Rite of Acceptance & Welcoming for New Candidates for Easter Vigil - At the 10:30AM Mass the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) will be celebrating the Rite of Acceptance into the Order of the Catechumens for 3 unbaptized inquirers who are preparing for their Baptism at the Easter Vigil. Susanne Murphy, Patricia Payton and Scott Schornstaedt are now ready to publicly declare their intention to continue their journey toward becoming Catholics. We will also be celebrating the Rite of Welcoming with 5 inquirers. Vincent Collier, Pamela Groffie, Karen Kusiak, Heidi Matisa, and William Murphy, who were previously baptized, are now ready to publicly declare their intention to continue their journey toward full communion with the Catholic Church. We invite you to take an active role in welcoming our soon-to-be catechumens and candidates and to be models of faith and Christian charity for them. We ask you to please pray for the inquirers as they continue their journey toward a closer relationship with God.
